We have a talented group of professionals that work hard to exceed our clients' expectations. We are looking for another talented individual to join our corporate team as an Accountant. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, efficient in meeting deadlines among competing priorities and able to work well, amid interruptions and possess excellent verbal and written communications skills. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: * Completion of data entry/ import from payroll system to general ledger; * Ownership of general ledger entry, monthly reconciliation and financial reporting processes; * Reconciliation of payroll taxes, backup for processing payroll tax payments and processing and reconciling quarterly and annual payroll tax reports; * Monthly benefit reconciliations; * Management and coordination of the annual 401K plan audit; * Assistance with tax preparation activities, in conjunction with outside auditor and tax preparer. The ideal candidate will exhibit the following education, experience and skill sets: * Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; * 3-5 years of current progressive experience in an accounting role; * Strong bookkeeping skills; * Experience with reconciling employee benefits; * Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles; * Strong general ledger and financial reporting experience; * Payroll processing, payroll tax filing and reporting experience is desired; * Excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail are a must, as is the ability to work independently and take initiative; * Ability to multi-task, function effectively under pressure and meet deadlines is required; * Strong technical and software skills, including advanced Excel skills/ knowledge is required; * Experience with QuickBooks is desired.
