All aspects of the financial close including preparing and posting journal entries. Analysis of financial results. Monthly forecasts & variance analysis. Account reconciliations. Prepare month end reports for both plant and corporate. Perform cost accounting analysis (absorption, labor, material usage, spending, etc.).Inventory verification and control – including oversight and administration of physical counts, cycle counts & costing accuracy, excess & obsolete analysis, etc. Manage accounts receivable and credit management. Manage accounts payable. Identify and manage process improvement initiatives. ERP system optimization including process improvements and report writing. Develop accounting policies and procedures. Assist in the preparation of the annual operating budget. This position will need the capacity to meet the needs of a complex, diverse, dynamic and fast paced organization that will pose a wide variety of challenges from a manufacturing level. This position must answer these challenges quickly and accurately. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance - Certified Public Accountant and/or Master’s Degree preferred. Eight to ten years accounting experience in a manufacturing environment. Candidate needs to understand the flow of manufacturing accounting including cost accounting. Strong understanding of GAAP, financial close process, cost accounting, financial and management reporting and internal controls. Strong understanding of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Collections. Strong understanding of Financial Planning & Analysis including developing forecasts/budgets, variance analysis and strategic planning. Experience with an ERP system required and preferably a candidate who is very good with data mining, analysis and report writing. Strong ability to optimize an ERP system. Strong communication and ability to work with and lead accounting/finance staff as well as other cross functional departments. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software; advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
