We seek an experienced assistant who would like the challenge of working with the intellectual property portfolio of a dynamic, fast paced worldwide entertainment company whose business includes such entities as motion picture film and television production companies, such as 20th Century Fox and Fox Searchlight, and broadcast and cable television channels, such as Fox Broadcasting Company, Fox Sports and Fox International Channels.
The assistant will provide overall administrative support to three IP professionals in Fox Group Legal who all work with Fox entities worldwide on various trademark, copyright and domain name matters. Duties will include providing full administrative support services such as answering phones and maintaining phone logs; scheduling and coordinating meetings and appointments; arranging travel; processing expense reports; handling mail and filing; processing invoices; working with an IP management database; Internet research and managing special projects as assigned. This position will also assist the Trademark Registration group by conducting regular U.S. and foreign status checks and renewals, which includes corresponding with foreign counsel and tracking responses. This person will interact with people from Fox business units around the world.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment. Must be professional, a team player and skilled at creating professional relationships over the phone. Must be experienced with Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Legal experience preferred.
